To paraphrase Frank Zappa, Eddie Jobson is the best musician you have never heard in your life. If you are curious on what I had to say, here it is, translated: I reviewed the concert here (in Italian). I really recommend these box sets, and I hope they will be made available as separate Bluray and CD releases in the future.

The number of songs that Jobson had to practice for these 2 concerts is really big. show was performed the night before the 'Four Decades' show (thus, on 8 Novembrer 2013).

What is really impressive is the fact that the U.K. celebration (Jobson-Wetton-Machacek-Minneman), with the 2 studio albums being played in their entirety for the first time, and the other tracks from 'Night After Night' played at the end of the concert. The band is Jobson, Alex Machacek (guitar), Marco Minneman (drums) and Ric Fierabracci (bass), with guest appearances by Sonja Kristina, John Wetton and Aaron Lippert. I am particularly impressed with the 'Four Decades' concert, recorded on 9 November 2013, with a unique setlist covering the 40 years career of Jobson: tracks from Curved Air, Zappa, U.K., but also unique live renditions of songs from 'The Green Album', 'Theme Of Secrets' and the underrated 'UKZ' project. Stereo separation is excellent, with guitar on the right and keyboards on the left. Sometimes the drums are strangely mixed, but I guess that's Eddie's choice, and once you accept this choice, you can really enjoy the concert. The audio is very good too, much better - again - than the 'UK Reunion' DVD or the 'Ultimate Zero Tour' CDs that had an awful sound quality. You have very nice close-ups and the cameras are alway filming the right musician at the right time. The Bluray video quality is stunning and the concerts are very well filmed (unlike the 'UK Reunion' DVD from some years ago). In each box you have the Bluray of the concert, the audio on 2 CDs, a bonus DVD with a long interview of Eddie Jobson, T-shirt and book(s) filled with great pictures.
